It’s a good month to be a foodie in New York City! There are plenty of food festivals taking place near Roosevelt Island over the next few weeks, including the return of Smorgasburg in Brooklyn! Check out some of the events taking place near The Octagon below that you won’t want to miss.

Brisket King NYC – Don’t miss Brisket King NYC’s annual celebration of all things barbecue, taking place Wednesday, April 25th at 6:00pm at East River State Park in Williamsburg. The annual meat fest celebrates with all-you-can-eat plates of brisket and bottomless booze. Enjoy different varieties from Marlow & Daughters, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Kimchi Smoke, and Mable’s Smokehouse. This is a ticketed event so make sure you get your ticket now before they sell out!

NYC Hot Sauce Expo – Celebrate all things spicy at the NYC Hot Sauce Expo, happening at the Brooklyn Expo Center on Sunday, April 22nd starting at 10am. Sample dozens of vendors’ sauces and take part in hot sauce challenges, like the Guinness Book of Records Reaper Eating Contest. Purchase a general admission ticket for free tastings from all vendors and access to the line up of events. Upgrade your ticket for an additional three beers, and a bottle of High River Sauces, and a barbecue lunch box.

Smorgasburg – Smorgasburg has made its return for the 2018 season! In case you don’t know, Smorgasburg is an annual food flea market that takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 6pm from April to November. The event is comprised of nearly 100 vendors offering up their best grub and drinks. New additions to the market this year include 504 HN Market who will be serving up traditional Honduran baleadas, Big Mozz x DO, offering deep fried cookie dough, and Dashi Fried Chicken serving up original KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), among many others!
